We’ve received support from SO many townspeople and we’d like to CELEBRATE with YOU!! Come, play, bring a picnic lunch, and get a FREE ice cream from an ice cream truck! We could not have done this without your support. Thank you, thank you! The school will be open for a bathroom and water fill station use from 12-2pm only. Rain date Sunday 8/24, 12-2pm.
First Day Share! One of our favorite parts of the first day of school is seeing the big smiles, favorite outfits and summer growth of each kiddo as they walk into our school. In order to share that joy this year, I am asking any of you who would like to take a first day of school picture of your child(ren) and email it to me. I will share pictures on our website and Facebook page so we can all celebrate together.
School Update:
Mr. Dave, our custodian, has been hard at work painting, cleaning and organizing our learning spaces, and keeping our building and campus looking amazing. We are grateful for all his hard work and dedication!
Our Director of Buildings and Grounds, Tim Harte, supervised the installation of new heat pumps in every single learning space in the building. We are excited that we can continue to support the temperature of our learning environment in a sustainable way that meets our school mission.
Support our School! We need volunteers to help with our Four Winds Program, our Winter Sports Program and our PTO! If you are able to volunteer, please send me an email or call the school. We would love to have you and the students would greatly appreciate your support!
Work at SMS! We are in need of para educators in the district and substitutes at SMS. Please contact me for more information.
After School Program: https://sites.google.com/millriverschools.org/afterschoolprograms/shrewsbury-after-school-program
Coming soon: School Calendar, Student/Family Handbook, Bus Schedule, Letters from Classroom Teachers with supply lists.
I hope that you enjoy the remaining days of summer and I look forward to seeing everyone soon!
